Just in time for graduation, my first book College Bound: A Pursuit of Freedom is in its second edition. Revised and updated, this edition features a new cover design, as well as some minor edits related to cultural changes in the last five years since it was first written.
I continue to get great feedback about the impact this book is having on young people, as well as their parents. Here are what a few have said:
- “I wish I could have had this book seven years ago when my daughter went off to college! It opened my eyes to so much of what was happening with her, but at the time, I couldn’t understand.” – Sue V.
- “Thank you for your book! I read it in two days. You wrote with flair, humor and real-life-authenticity, so it was easy to get right into the story and read straight thru to the end. I believe that this is a book that would be helpful not just to teens and young adults, but also to parents.” –Lisa Hosler, President of Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services
- “Reading College Bound: A Pursuit of Freedom made me want to get serious about God. I started attending youth group, and I’ve passed College Bound around to my friends.” – Kayla B., high school student
- “My son, who does not like to read, was spending most of his free time on our family vacation reading this book. Every time he had a chance, he was reading it. Curious as to what held his interest, I asked him to let me read it. This book is a great testimony. I feel young people can relate very well to what the main character went through . . . her story shows how easy it is to make compromises.” Sheila E., parent of a teen
