Judging: a forbidden sin or the Christian’s divine duty?

So you see for the Christian it is not enough simply to live in quiet integrity. Fervent, aggressive prayer against the enemy in the knowledge of how Christ through Calvary whipped him and his nobles for our sake - that is, foremost that we might see Christ's kingdom manifest here on earth (Matthew 6:10) and destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), is the daily duty of every serious disciple of Christ. But even that is not enough. Scripture makes it clear that the Lord requires His faithful ones to open their mouths in the public square and speak truth.

God’s justice is a mercy: why we pray for His intervention

The satirist and statesman Jonathan Swift compared laws to cobwebs, "which may catch small flies, but let wasps and hornets break through." Lawfare and two-tiered justice are not new.     God's justice, which is His will, is not automatic. When Christ instructed His disciples to pray "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done" (Matthew 6:10) He was giving them a directive to overthrow the works of the ruler of this world (2 Cor. 4:4) and displace them with His own righteous edicts.

Praying for God’s judgments?

Many Christians and secularists alike tend to think of God’s judgments as undesirable or even cruel. Some suppose that judgment is synonymous with hail, lightening, earthquakes, and floods. The scriptural pattern of God’s judgments often involved His people being invaded by foreigners who did not share their customs, took over their resources, and oppressed them. We cannot ignore that Peter told the church that “Judgment begins with the household of faith” (1 Peter 4:17).

Revelation 22, 2 Timothy 4:8, the Spirit and the Bride, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness

For all those who love His appearing, we say “Come, Lord”

Do you feel that if you had to remain in the state that you are in without Him appearing, you could not exist much longer, any more than a creature of the sea that is floundering at low tide can thrive if the waters don't soon rush in?" There is too a tremendous dichotomy that would seem to pull at both ends of the heart in longing for His appearing, not just in our own lives and experiences, but in that of humanity as a whole. There is a terrible groaning at the state of suffering in people who are powerless against the oppression that keeps them in prison, impoverished and even enslaved under tyranny - be that political totalitarianism or the edicts of a culture that worships demons.

The Blueprint for the Beast System in Revelation

The manipulation by these globalist billionaires of currency, agriculture, medicine, proxy wars, and mass migration is all leading to that which appears eerily similar to what Jesus and His apostles foretold, along with the events John saw unfolding in Revelation. Technology now affords the ability to produce these on a mass scale:

Hell’s trifecta trap: Cynicism, Idealism, and Fatalism

Without fervent prayer, God's will is largely held back from what He purposes to do in the earth. As Chip Brogden stated, "“If God will do whatever He wishes, regardless of whether we pray or not, then we do not need to pray at all, and the Lord’s instructions on praying for the Kingdom and His will are superfluous. . .Apart from Him, we can do nothing. Apart from us, He will do nothing.”

Jesus disciples storm wind waves

Slammed by contrary winds

We all did what the Lord sent us out to do. We got on board the ship - our individual calling - because Jesus told us to.But here we are on the sea, and the storm is bigger than us. The wind is contrary - in opposition to us. And we're battered. And in the midst of the wind-lashing and skin-soaking tumult that threatens to sink us, a steady pelting of solemn rebukes issues forth from well-meaning fellow Christians for boarding the ship in the first place. There are other pursuits Christ sanctions. Why step into the vessel that draws the tempest of controversy?

spiritual gifts, pastoral, prophetic, Christian nationalism, church controversy current events

Can your gifting impair your vision? Why some pastors won’t talk about current events

One major stream of gifting in the Body of Christ (the prophetic/intercessors) sees the absolute chaos of our nation as a result of what God is doing in this hour: disciplining the Church for her prayerlessness, compromise, and disengagement from the world and culture in the guise of keeping to the exclusiveness of preaching the Gospel. The other major stream of gifting (the pastoral/teaching) sees the passion in Christians to engage the culture through being salt and light in the political and governmental gates of influence as Christian nationalism and political idolatry. How do we reconcile this?

foundations destroyed, what shall righteous do

“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

Few may argue the West's destructive course, but what does the final outworking of a disintegrated culture look like? Can even widespread revival pull a culture back from the precipice? As a Christian, I see the world simultaneously through two lenses. The one is observing the horrors of life in post-modern America, with its fearful velocity in recent years of lawlessness - infanticide, polygamy, pedophilia, trafficking, misogyny, suicide, crime, institutional corruption, and child mutilation; at the same time, I'm scrutinizing these trends against the backdrop of history, from ancient to present, and the fate of parallel civilizations. The other lens sees the influence of the praying church on history, from Peter's supernatural deliverance from Herod's imprisonment, all the way up to the fall of the Soviet Union and pivotal World War Two victories such as Dunkirk and the Battle of Britain. The latter lens keeps me from despair. The former begs the question, "At what cost will we see Divine Liberation?"

“Pull the plug”

Juxtaposed against today, Hawthorne's Celestial Railroad is a mirror held up to culture, and how much more might we see ourselves the pampered passengers rather than the scorned pilgrims - particularly in the face of the exponentially increasing power of technology and Artificial Intelligence to distract, dissuade, and dismember us from our Creator and that which is most important in life. There's a phrase in my spirit these last several months that I've been praying aloud to the Lord. "Pull the plug."
